Default Help with an assassin build

I've only recently started into playing my assassin, and I've come out of the experience with a new favourite profession.

I haven't had much experience with making builds, but I'm liking "critical eye" along with "way of perfection".

Keep in mind, I've only just gotten to Nahpui Quarter, and would like something to aim for.

This is what I've got on my notepad at the moment (wanting to cripple foes);

Critical Eye
Critical Agility
Critical Defenses
Way of Perfection
Black Mantis Thrust
Jungle Strike
Trampling Ox
Hidden Caltrops [elite]

Any feedback or thoughts would be fantastic, as this is the first build I've actually tried to make outside of the game, pre-planning and not winging it with what I have.

Way of Perfection is unneeded as you will have a monk pushing your red bar, but since you are just starting out as an assassin, it's not a bad idea to keep a self-heal.

Critical Defenses should be taken out, it's difficult to maintain between battles and it has a long recharge. Besides, if you really want some sort of blocking/survival skill, there is Shroud of Distress or the elite Flashing Blades. Keep in mind all these enchantments have pretty long recharge times, which can be a burden when facing enchantment removals.

Critical Eye/Agility are fantastic.

I can see what you are aiming for with the elite and attack chain, it an be made more efficient. I understand you are trying to satisfy the hexed condition on BMT with Hidden Caltrops, but consider leaving the hexes to Henchmen/Heroes instead, as you really don't want to stop attacking in mid-battle. You can also use Caltrops for guaranteed AOE cripple if you find BMT failing.

Jungle Strike isn't bad, but it has a 10s recharge. You really want to pump out frequent attack chains so considering changing/bringing another off-hand. If you choose to use Caltrops as your crippling skill, try dropping BMT and use Golden Fox Strike instead, its condition is easy to satisfy.

As for the elite, Flashing Blades and Way of the Assassin is probably your best bet.

Of course, there's always the Jagged Strike>Fox Fangs>Death Blossom attack chain which pumps out massive damage through their quick recharge, but I recommend trying out different chains (like yours) before settling for that.

Hope this helps
